For the fields of press and publication, online media and media institutions, we cultivate excellent news communication talents who are familiar with news publicity policies and regulations, who master Marxist news concept, communication theory, digital media technology and other knowledge and skills, who have the abilities of original news gathering and editing, public opinion monitoring and analysis, and new media content production and operation.

●This major implements the construction specialty of “the Excellent News-communication Talents Training 2.0 plan with CPC Publicity Department and Education Ministry”. It is characterized by the implementation of the vocational situational talent training mode with post ability as the core. The major cultivates senior journalism and communication professionals through practical teaching forms such as immersive experience, embedded training and group cooperative learning.
●This major is equipped with characteristic curriculum modules such as mass communication, audio-visual language, digital technology, etc. Cooperating with Manchester University, University of Bristol, University of Sheffield, Liverpool John Moores University, etc., the major provides strong support for the cultivation of high-level talents.
●Relying on the school’s Provincial Convergence Media Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, TRS Data Analysis Platform, Green Island Public Opinion Research Institute, Micro Video Creation Laboratory and other on-campus training platforms, the school has established off campus practice bases in conjunction with mainstream media institutions such as Peoples Network, China Central International Broadcasting and Television International Online, Tencent Daliao.com, Sina Liaoning, Liaoning Daily newspaper group and so on, so as to build a high-quality internship and employment platform for students.
